Objectives


The objectives of the Association are:

  1. To promote and foster a friendly and cooperative spirit of fellowship among pilots, observers, aircrews, support personnel directly assigned or attached to the 6147th Tactical Control Squadron (TCS) or the 6147th Tactical Control Group (TCG) of the United States Air Force during and immediately after the Korean War period, July 1950 to June 1956. Also included are any other members of the United Nations Armed Forces associated with the 6147th TCS or 6147th TCG during the same period. This also applies to the 6132nd Tactical Control Group (TCG) and 6164th Tactical Control Squadron (TCS) members who performed TACP duties from June1950 to April 1951.
  2. To organize an annual reunion to preserve the fellowship developed through the common bond of service to the 6147th Tactical Control Squadron or 6147th Tactical Control Group.
  3. To compile and maintain an historical account of the 6147th Tactical Control Squadron or 6147th Tactical Control Group, to collect and preserve all material, memorabilia, artifacts, pictures, war souvenirs, or any other articles as may be pertinent to the 6147th Tactical Control Squadron or 6147th Tactical Control Group that anyone may wish to donate or lend on a temporary basis to the Association.
